The Commercial Court in Dehradun has ordered the Public Works Department of the Uttarakhand government to deposit the full amount of a 2022 arbitration award in favor of MBL Infrastructure. The award relates to the road project for improvement and strengthening of 15 roads in Almora district (Package C-4, Phase-III). As of 6 August 2025, the award sum stands at Rs 77.85 crores, with interest continuing to accrue at 8.90% per annum until the date of actual payment, in line with Section 31(7) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. This follows the original award dated 31 January 2022, read with corrections issued on 14 February 2022.
