Mcap of 4 of top-10 most valued firms jumps Rs 92,995 cr; HDFC Bank, Airtel top gainers

The combined market capitalisation of four of the top-10 most valued firms jumped by Rs 92,995 crore last week, led by HDFC Bank (up Rs 35,808 crore) and Bharti Airtel (up Rs 34,897 crore). The remaining six firms, including ICICI Bank, SBI, TCS, Bajaj Finance, L&T and HUL, together lost Rs 49,294 crore in valuation. Benchmarks Sensex and Nifty ended the week marginally lower, down 0.25 percent and 0.26 percent respectively, snapping a four-week winning streak amid Iran-US tensions and a spike in crude prices.
