Mcap of 6 of top-10 most valued firms surges by ₹1 lakh crore; Airtel, Bajaj Finance top gainers

Six of India's top-10 most valued companies added nearly one lakh crore rupees in combined market capitalisation last week, led by Bharti Airtel (up 36,529 crore) and Bajaj Finance (up 33,060 crore). The BSE Sensex gained 663.44 points (0.86%) and the Nifty climbed 214.85 points (0.89%), supported by resilient domestic macros, robust GST collections, and expectations of more accommodative global monetary policy. Reliance Industries retained its position as India's most valued firm, followed by HDFC Bank and Bharti Airtel.
