Mcap of 6 of top-10 most valued firms surges by ₹88,678 crore; ICICI Bank biggest gainer

Six of the top-10 most valued Indian companies saw their combined market capitalisation rise by Rs 88,678.1 crore in a holiday-shortened week, with ICICI Bank emerging as the biggest gainer at Rs 29,588.75 crore. The BSE Sensex advanced 0.38% while the NSE Nifty gained 0.17%, supported by easing crude oil prices and selective FII buying. Gainers included Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, SBI, Bajaj Finance, and L&T, while Bharti Airtel (down Rs 35,615.21 crore), LIC, TCS, and Hindustan Unilever declined.
