Meenakshi Steel Industries, a finance and investment focused NBFC-type company, declared its audited results for the quarter and full year ended March 31, 2025, approved at the Board meeting on May 29, 2025. Revenue from operations fell to Rs 1,777.07 lakhs in FY25 from Rs 2,178.61 lakhs in FY24, a decline of about 18%. Despite lower revenue, the company swung back to profit with a net profit of Rs 84.12 lakhs in FY25 against a loss of Rs 36.01 lakhs in FY24, giving an EPS of Rs 5.36. Total standalone assets shrank to Rs 25,361.56 lakhs from Rs 33,320.15 lakhs, mainly due to a drop in loans (Rs 15,915.72 lakhs vs Rs 23,536.53 lakhs) and investments. Borrowings fell sharply to Rs 10,600 lakhs from Rs 18,600 lakhs, strengthening the balance sheet. Statutory auditor VRS K & Co LLP issued an unmodified opinion on both standalone and consolidated results.
The turnaround to profit and meaningful debt reduction are positives for shareholders, but the shrinking loan book and lower revenue signal ongoing business contraction, which may keep the stock sentiment cautious.
