Metroglobal Ltd reported its Q1 FY26 results on August 12, 2025. Standalone total income came in at Rs 6,721.55 lakhs, down about 9.8% from Rs 7,454.98 lakhs in Q1 FY25. Profit before tax fell to Rs 561.54 lakhs (vs Rs 888.81 lakhs last year), and profit after tax dropped sharply to Rs 397 lakhs from Rs 706.86 lakhs — a decline of roughly 44%. Basic EPS stood at Rs 3.22 (vs Rs 5.73). The company also announced its 33rd AGM for September 26, 2025 and proposed the re-appointment of statutory auditors KPSJ & Associates LLP for a second 5-year term. The statutory auditor issued an unqualified limited review report on both standalone and consolidated numbers.
Despite a sharp year-on-year fall in profits, the company swung from a Rs 381.61 lakh loss in Q4 FY25 to a Rs 397 lakh profit in Q1 FY26, showing a sequential recovery. Shareholders may note the weak YoY earnings, but the dividend decision (record date September 19, 2025) and improving sequential performance are the key near-term triggers for the stock.
