MFL India Ltd reported Q1 FY26 results with revenue from operations rising to about ₹14.0 crore from ₹11.5 crore in the same quarter last year, a growth of roughly 22% year-on-year. However, total expenses surged to about ₹16.6 crore from ₹11.5 crore, driven largely by higher purchases of stock-in-trade. As a result, the company swung from a small profit of about ₹1.5 lakh in Q1 FY25 to a loss of about ₹2.6 crore in Q1 FY26. The auditor (V.K. Sehgal & Associates) issued an unmodified limited review report. The board approved the results at its meeting held on August 14, 2025.
Short-term negative for shareholders — the company slipped into a quarterly loss despite decent revenue growth, signalling that costs have grown much faster than sales. Investors should watch whether margins recover in subsequent quarters.
