The Board of Minal Industries Ltd, at its meeting held on 13th August 2025 (5:45 PM to 6:15 PM), approved the IND-AS compliant unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter ended 30th June 2025. On a standalone basis, total income stood at Rs. 574.39 lakhs (up sharply from Rs. 21.73 lakhs in Q1 FY25) with a profit before tax of Rs. 37.92 lakhs and EPS of Rs. 0.02. On a consolidated basis, total income was Rs. 1,022.17 lakhs with profit after tax of Rs. 68.14 lakhs and EPS of Rs. 0.04. The statutory auditor (R H Modi & Co.) issued a qualified conclusion, noting that Rs. 31.34 lakhs of interest income on a loan to subsidiary Minal Infojewels Limited was not accrued due to the subsidiary's accumulated losses and inability to pay. The auditor also flagged a material uncertainty on going concern, citing standalone accumulated losses of Rs. 2,109.55 lakhs and consolidated accumulated losses of Rs. 541.05 lakhs, while noting the company is relying on promoter financial support. A continued provision of Rs. 600 lakhs has been created for impairment of investments in subsidiary Minal Infojewels Limited.
Short-term: Q1 FY26 shows a return to profitability on both standalone and consolidated bases with a sharp revenue jump, which is mildly positive. However, the auditor's qualified opinion, the subsidiary's stressed financial position, and the going-concern flag due to heavy accumulated losses are red flags that may weigh on investor confidence and keep the stock under pressure.
