Mindspace Business Parks REIT announced a Stingless Honeybee Farming & Conservation Initiative across its campuses in Airoli (Navi Mumbai) East and West, along with its existing presence at Gera Commerzone Kharadi in Pune. The program has over 40 hives currently thriving across Pune and Airoli campuses, with plans to scale it further across other business parks. Unlike typical beekeeping, the focus is on protecting endangered indigenous stingless bees (key pollinators for Indian agriculture, including mango crops) rather than honey production, guided by PM-recognised conservationist Amit Godse. The REIT claims bee populations on its chemical-free campuses have doubled within a few months, and the initiative is positioned as a corporate-led urban biodiversity effort.
