MITCON reported standalone revenue from operations of ₹1,324.42 lakhs for Q1 FY26, up 35% from ₹980.02 lakhs in Q1 FY25, driven by strong growth in the Consultancy and Training segment (₹700.30L, up 21%) and Project Services (₹613.86L, up 56%). Despite the top-line surge, standalone profit after tax fell to ₹101.68 lakhs from ₹116.20 lakhs (down ~12.5%), and profit before tax dropped to ₹146.42 lakhs from ₹179.92 lakhs, as operating costs nearly doubled. Consolidated revenue was flat at ₹2,443.35 lakhs with consolidated PAT at ₹119.60 lakhs vs ₹291.70 lakhs (the prior year was inflated by a one-time deferred tax credit). The Board also approved conversion of 39.79 lakh partly paid-up equity shares into fully paid-up shares after receiving the final call money on its rights issue.
Positive on revenue momentum as the company delivered double-digit topline growth, but the contracting profit margins and higher operating costs may concern investors looking for earnings growth. The completion of the rights issue and conversion of partly paid shares to fully paid is a housekeeping positive that improves share liquidity.
