M M Rubber Company Limited has filed its revised 59th Annual Report for FY2024-25. Revenue from operations rose modestly to Rs. 41.64 crore from Rs. 41 crore in the previous year, a growth of about 1.6%. The company, however, continued to report a loss, though it narrowed sharply to Rs. 1.65 crore from Rs. 3.68 crore in FY24. Management blamed tough market conditions, rising latex raw material prices, and competition from unorganised and global players for the weak performance. The company did not declare any dividend and is now exploring new business avenues in automobile and tyre manufacturing. The Board also appointed two new independent directors and a new secretarial auditor for a five-year term.
The narrowing of losses is a positive sign for shareholders, but the company remains in the red and is searching for new revenue streams, which adds uncertainty. No dividend means no income for shareholders in the short term, though the cost-cutting and diversification efforts could support a turnaround if successful.
