Modi Rubber Limited reported a significant turnaround in its standalone performance, posting a net loss of Rs 1,941.32 Lacs for FY26 compared to a profit of Rs 235.96 Lacs in FY25. On a consolidated basis, the company earned a net profit of only Rs 63.97 Lacs in FY26 versus Rs 2,046.06 Lacs in FY25, representing a decline of about 97%. The standalone revenue from operations grew modestly by about 17% to Rs 468.98 Lacs. Other comprehensive income showed substantial negative adjustments of Rs 673.18 Lacs standalone and Rs 1,230.98 Lacs consolidated, likely from mark-to-market losses on investments. The auditors issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on both standalone and consolidated financial statements, confirming no concerns about the company's going concern status or material misstatements.
Shareholders should note the dramatic decline in profitability both standalone and consolidated. Despite moderate revenue growth, the company swung to a significant standalone loss. The clean audit opinion provides some comfort on financial reporting quality, but the weak bottom-line performance may weigh on the stock price in the near term.
