Modison Limited reported its Q1 FY26 results with revenue from operations of ₹13,413.57 lakhs, up about 15% from ₹11,647.99 lakhs in Q1 FY25. Profit after tax jumped sharply to ₹480.06 lakhs from ₹114.67 lakhs, while EPS rose to ₹1.48 from ₹0.35. Other income also surged to ₹331.12 lakhs from ₹23.85 lakhs. The company booked an exceptional loss of ₹111.74 lakhs tied to silver hedging and mark-to-market on forward contracts. Finance costs rose to ₹207 lakhs from ₹120.60 lakhs, and depreciation also increased. On a consolidated basis, figures are broadly similar, and the company divested its entire stake in wholly-owned subsidiary Modison Hitech Pvt Ltd effective June 9, 2025. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified limited review report on both standalone and consolidated results.
Strong year-on-year earnings growth on the back of higher other income and improved operating performance is a positive signal for shareholders, though the jump in other income and finance costs warrants a closer look. The subsidiary divestment and clean auditor review are supportive notes for the stock.
