MOIL Limited reported manganese ore production of 1.45 lakh tonnes in July 2025, up 11.4% year-on-year and the highest-ever July output in the company's history. Cumulative production for April-July FY26 stood at 6.47 lakh tonnes, growing 7.8% over the same period last year, despite heavy rainfall. Exploratory drilling also rose 11.4% to 43,215 meters during the same period. However, cumulative sales slipped to 4.53 lakh tonnes from 5.02 lakh tonnes in the same period last year, indicating weaker offtake despite stronger production. CMD Ajit Kumar Saxena credited the team for record performance under challenging weather.
Record production and strong drilling growth are positive operational signals, showing MOIL is ramping up output effectively. However, the decline in sales volumes year-on-year is a concern, as higher inventory build-up could pressure realisations. Investors should watch whether sales catch up in coming months to convert production strength into revenue growth.
