MRF Limited reported standalone revenue from operations of Rs. 7,560.28 Cr for Q1 FY26, up about 6.8% from Rs. 7,077.84 Cr a year ago. However, profit after tax fell roughly 14% to Rs. 484.23 Cr from Rs. 562.55 Cr, and EPS slipped to Rs. 1,141.74 from Rs. 1,326.41. Operating margin compressed sharply to 8.03% from 10.51% last year, as raw material and other expenses outpaced revenue growth. On a consolidated basis, revenue rose to Rs. 7,675.69 Cr while PAT dropped to Rs. 500.47 Cr. The results were approved on August 12, 2025, and auditors M M Nissim & Co LLP and Sastri & Shah issued an unqualified limited review report with no qualifications or emphasis of matter.
Modest top-line growth was overshadowed by a sharp ~250 bps drop in operating margin and a double-digit fall in profit, which is likely to be viewed negatively by investors and may pressure the stock in the near term despite MRF's strong balance sheet (debt-equity at just 0.03).
