MRF Limited reported consolidated total income of Rs 28,561 Crores for FY2024-25, up 12% from Rs 25,486 Crores in the previous year. However, consolidated net profit declined to Rs 1,869 Crores from Rs 2,081 Crores, and profit before tax fell to Rs 2,479 Crores from Rs 2,787 Crores due to higher input costs. Exports grew strongly by 23% to Rs 2,321 Crores, and all three segments — Replacement, Institutional, and Export — registered strong growth. The company declared a total dividend of Rs 235 per share (2,350%) for the year. Raw material costs softened in Q4, though this was partially offset by rupee depreciation against the dollar.
Positive on the revenue and dividend front, but the drop in profits despite higher revenue signals margin pressure from rising input costs, which may weigh on near-term investor sentiment. Strong export growth and new product launches across categories are encouraging signs for future growth.
