MRPL has received authorization from the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) to lay, build, operate, and expand a petroleum and petroleum product (ATF - Aviation Turbine Fuel) pipeline. The pipeline will run from Devangonthi to the Existing Common User Fuel Farm Station and an upcoming Satellite Fuel Farm Station at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. The pipeline will have a system capacity of 2.5 Million Metric Tonnes Per Annum (MMTPA) and must be completed within 36 months. This is a domestic authorization with no related party involvement.
This authorization enables MRPL to expand its infrastructure footprint by supplying aviation fuel directly to Bengaluru's international airport, potentially increasing revenue streams from the aviation sector. The 2.5 MMTPA capacity suggests a meaningful long-term supply opportunity at a major Indian airport hub.
