MSP Steel & Power Ltd reported a strong turnaround in FY2026 with standalone net profit of ₹3,385.09 lakhs compared to a loss of ₹2,870.98 lakhs in FY2025. Revenue from operations stood at ₹2,84,296.43 lakhs, marginally lower than ₹2,90,524.78 lakhs in the previous year. The company completed its debt restructuring by paying ₹10,163.30 lakhs as final Right of Recompense, enabling exit from the restructuring framework. Finance costs reduced significantly from ₹8,111.57 lakhs to ₹4,749.65 lakhs. The Board approved a ₹500 crore capital expansion programme at Raigarh, Chhattisgarh to increase sponge iron, billet, rolling mill, and power generation capacities. The company raised ₹24.50 crores through preferential warrant issuance (2.8 crore warrants at ₹35 each), with full conversion potential of ₹98 crores.
The company has returned to profitability after restructuring completion, which is positive for shareholders. The ₹500 crore capex programme signals growth ambitions but will increase debt levels. Revenue declined marginally but cost efficiencies drove profit recovery.
