MCX published its audited financial results for Q4 and full year FY26 (ended March 31, 2026) in major newspapers on May 10, 2026. The results showed exceptional growth with Q4 revenue from operations at Rs 889 crore, up 205% year-on-year from Rs 291 crore. Q4 profit after tax jumped 291% to Rs 530 crore with PAT margin expanding to 57% from 42%. Full year average daily turnover grew 145% to Rs 5.4 lakh crore. The exchange, ranked as world's largest commodity options exchange by FIA for 2025, saw traded clients increase to 20.9 lakh from 13 lakh. Bullion segment growth was particularly strong at 496%, while options revenue grew 109% to Rs 1,398 crore.
The significantly improved profitability margins and strong client growth indicate MCX is gaining market share in commodity derivatives. This is positive for shareholders as the exchange benefits from higher trading volumes and improved operational efficiency.
