MCX reported exceptional FY26 results with consolidated total income of Rs 2,429 crore, more than doubling from Rs 1,209 crore in FY25. PAT surged 138% to Rs 1,332 crore, while operating income grew 107% to Rs 2,302 crore. EBITDA improved significantly to Rs 1,774 crore with margin expanding from 63% to 73%. Q4 FY26 was particularly strong with PAT of Rs 530 crore, up 291% YoY. Futures ADT rose 137% to Rs 64,407 crore and options ADT jumped 146% to Rs 471,641 crore, driven by bullion and energy segments. MCX commands over 99% market share across bullion, base metals and energy. The company expanded its client base with 7.6 lakh futures and 17.6 lakh options traded clients during FY26.
The strong performance reflects booming commodity derivatives trading volumes in India, driven by increased institutional participation including FPIs, mutual funds, and portfolio managers. The margin expansion demonstrates operating leverage benefits as volumes scale. Stock traded at Rs 13,530 (BSE high) with market cap of Rs 609 billion as of March 2026.
