MCX reported a strong Q3 FY26 with total income of Rs. 697 crore, up 115% year-on-year and 74% sequentially. Revenue from operations rose 121% YoY to Rs. 666 crore, while EBITDA surged 144% to Rs. 527 crore. Profit after tax nearly tripled to Rs. 401 crore, a 151% YoY jump. For the first nine months of FY26, revenue from operations grew 72% to Rs. 1,413 crore with PAT up 89% at Rs. 802 crore. Average daily turnover in futures and options more than tripled YoY to Rs. 7.5 lakh crore, driven largely by the bullion segment which now accounts for 69% of ADT. The exchange also launched new products like Gold Mini, Gold Ten Futures, and monthly options on the MCX BULLDEX index during the quarter.
Exceptional quarterly performance with triple-digit growth in revenue, EBITDA, and profit signals strong operational momentum and rising trading volumes, which is positive for shareholders. However, the very high YoY growth reflects a low base from Q3 FY25, so sequential growth and sustained ADT expansion will be the key indicators to watch going forward.
