N G Industries posted Q2 FY26 net sales from operations of Rs 404.52 lakhs, up from Rs 370.16 lakhs in Q1 FY26. For the half year (H1 FY26), net sales from operations stood at Rs 774.68 lakhs versus Rs 808.17 lakhs in H1 FY25, a marginal dip of around 4%. Total income (including other income) fell sharply to Rs 828.28 lakhs (H1 FY26) from Rs 1,159.73 lakhs, because 'other income' — which is mainly dividend income and capital gains from sale of investments — collapsed to Rs 53.50 lakhs from Rs 351.56 lakhs. Profit after tax dropped to Rs 62.15 lakhs (H1 FY26) versus Rs 346.24 lakhs (H1 FY25), with H1 EPS at Rs 1.81 vs Rs 10.33. The statutory auditor M.R. Singhwi & Co issued a clean (unmodified) limited review report, and the company confirmed no exceptional items for the period. The balance sheet remains strong with reserves of Rs 3,516.84 lakhs and substantial investments.
The steep PAT decline is driven mostly by lower one-time investment gains, not a deterioration in the small core operating business. For shareholders, this means earnings will remain lumpy and investment-dependent, so the stock may stay volatile rather than showing steady operating growth.
