Nahar Spinning Mills' board, meeting on July 31, 2025, approved standalone unaudited results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Revenue from operations came in at Rs. 819.28 crores, nearly flat against Rs. 820.88 crores in the same quarter last year. Net profit jumped sharply to Rs. 15.96 crores from Rs. 6.64 crores YoY, a rise of about 140%, driven by lower expenses. EPS more than doubled to Rs. 4.43 from Rs. 1.84. The board also cleared a Rs. 325 crore modernization plan for spinning units and a Rs. 25 crore 11 MW solar PV system for captive use, taking total capex commitment to around Rs. 350 crores. The 45th AGM is set for September 25, 2025, with September 5, 2025 fixed as the record date for dividend on equity shares for FY25.
Sharp profit growth despite flat revenue shows improved cost efficiency, which is a positive signal for shareholders. The large capex plan indicates management confidence in future demand but could pressure near-term returns; meanwhile, the dividend record date is welcome news for income-seeking investors.
