Naperol Investments Limited (formerly National Peroxide Limited) has published newspaper advertisements notifying shareholders about the transfer of equity shares to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF) Authority. The transfer is mandatory under Section 124 and 125 of the Companies Act, 2013 for shares where dividends remain unclaimed for 7 consecutive years or more. Specifically, unclaimed dividends for FY 2018-19 and onwards will be transferred to IEPF Authority on September 6, 2026. The company has already sent individual notices to affected shareholders with complete details of shares liable for transfer. Shareholders holding physical shares will receive a letter of confirmation in lieu of original certificates, which will be automatically cancelled upon transfer.
Shareholders who have not claimed dividends for 7 or more consecutive years risk losing their shares to IEPF. They can still claim back the shares and dividends from IEPF Authority by following the prescribed procedure at www.iepf.gov.in.
