Nath Industries reported strong Q1 FY26 results with total income of Rs. 118.25 crore, up about 34% from Rs. 88.29 crore in Q1 FY25. Revenue from operations rose to Rs. 117.26 crore from Rs. 87.61 crore, driven by both paper (up ~14%) and chemicals (up ~94%) segments. Net profit surged to Rs. 3.79 crore from Rs. 0.37 crore, a roughly 10x jump, lifting EPS to Rs. 2.00 from Rs. 0.19. The chemical division's sulphuric acid Plant no. 2 was shut during the quarter for maintenance and capacity upgradation, which will add 20 tonnes per day once restarted. The auditor (NR Agrawal & Co) issued an unmodified limited review report with no qualifications or concerns raised.
Strong YoY revenue and profit growth signals improving operating performance, though part of the jump is on a small base. The chemical capacity expansion could support further growth in coming quarters, making this a positive result for shareholders.
