NALCO reported strong Q1 FY26 results with net profit surging 77% year-on-year to Rs. 1,064 crore, up from Rs. 601 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations stood at Rs. 3,807 crore. The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 2.50 per share (50% on face value of Rs. 5) for FY25, amounting to Rs. 459.16 crores, taking total FY25 dividend payout to Rs. 1,928.46 crores. Operational performance was robust — production of Alumina Hydrate rose 35.5%, Calcined Alumina 52.25%, and Aluminium Cast Metal 2.68%, while alumina exports jumped 209% and domestic alumina sales rose 190%, marking the highest-ever domestic sale of both alumina and aluminium. The company is also pushing ahead with its Alumina Refinery expansion and the Pottangi Bauxite Mines project.
Strong earnings growth, record volumes, and a healthy dividend payout signal robust financial health and operational momentum, likely positive for shareholder sentiment. Continued capacity expansion and favourable sectoral demand (aluminium consumption projected at 7.5–8 million tonnes by 2030) provide a constructive long-term outlook.
