NALCO, a Navratna government company (GoI holding 51.28%), held its Q4 FY 2025-26 earnings call on 30th April 2026 alongside the audited results filing. The company reported record full-year production: bauxite transport at 77.07 lakh tonnes (+6.13% YoY), alumina hydrate at 23 lakh tonnes (+10.79%), aluminium cast metal at 4.72 lakh tonnes (+2.61%), and net power generation at 6,953 MU (+4.70%). Full-year revenue from operations grew 6.28% to Rs 17,843 Cr and PAT rose 9.22% to Rs 5,816 Cr, but Q4 performance weakened with PAT declining 17.37% YoY to Rs 1,718 Cr and EBIDTA falling 11.56%, largely due to a 139.77% jump in depreciation. LME aluminium prices rose sharply from $2,381/MT in April 2025 to $3,370/MT in March 2026, and management expects prices to average around $3,125/MT for CY 2026. The company also outlined a long-term growth plan with several major project commissioning dates: Pottangi Bauxite Mines (3.5 MTPA) in May 2026, 5th Stream Alumina Refinery (1 MTPA) in June 2026, Aluminium Smelter expansion (0.5 MTPA) by August 2030, and a 1,080 MW captive power plant by June 2031.
Positive long-term outlook supported by record full-year production, revenue, and profit growth plus a clear pipeline of capacity expansion projects, though the sharp Q4 decline in EBIDTA and PAT may cause near-term investor concern despite the improving LME price environment.
