National Fertilizers Limited (NFL), a Government of India undertaking, announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2025, along with an alteration to its Articles of Association subject to approval from the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers and shareholders via special resolution. Standalone revenue from operations grew about 17% year-on-year to ₹6,86,975 lakhs in Q3 FY26, while net profit jumped to ₹9,377 lakhs from ₹3,090 lakhs in the same quarter last year, giving an EPS of ₹1.91 versus ₹0.63. For the nine-month period, the company swung to a net profit of ₹5,146 lakhs from a loss of ₹2,107 lakhs a year ago. Consolidated Q3 net profit was ₹13,520 lakhs, helped by strong contributions from joint ventures. The board also recognized ₹1,46,395 lakhs in subsidy income on DAP and TSP fertilizers under government guidelines extended till March 31, 2026.
The sharp year-on-year recovery in both quarterly and nine-month profitability, supported by subsidy income and improved traded fertilizer margins, is positive for shareholders and could lift sentiment on the stock. However, the AOA amendment requires further government and shareholder clearances before taking effect.
