National Highways Infra Trust has informed the Exchange regarding Disclosure of material issue
Awaiting price reaction for this filing.
National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), the Sponsor of National Highways Infra Trust (NHIT), has sold 8.24 crore units of NHIT through an online market trade, valued at approximately Rs. 1,100.62 crore. Prior to the disposal, NHAI held 29.67 crore units (15.32% holding); post-disposal, its holding has come down to 21.43 crore units (11.07%). The transaction was executed on May 26, 2025, and the disclosure was filed on May 28, 2025, under SEBI's insider trading regulations. NHAI remains a designated person and sponsor of the trust, but its stake has dropped by over 4 percentage points in this single transaction.
A large block sale by the sponsor (NHAI) worth over Rs. 1,100 crore could create short-term supply pressure on the stock and may weigh on the price. Retail investors should note the reduced sponsor stake from 15.32% to 11.07%, though NHAI continues to remain the largest sponsor/unit holder.
