The Board of National Highways Infra Trust (NHIT) approved annual audited financial results for FY ended March 31, 2025, declaring a monthly distribution of Rs. 0.395 per unit for March 2025 (record date June 2, 2025). Total income for FY25 rose sharply to Rs. 3,05,954 lakhs from Rs. 1,24,735 lakhs in FY24, while profit after tax nearly doubled to Rs. 1,85,491 lakhs (from Rs. 96,819 lakhs), translating to earnings per unit of Rs. 13.99 vs Rs. 12.85. Independent valuer EY assessed enterprise value at Rs. 47,130.10 crores, with NAV per unit at Rs. 133.88 post-distribution. An impairment loss of Rs. 17,930 lakhs was booked on the Trust's investment in subsidiary NEPPL due to lower recoverable value. The Board also approved raising additional debt via secured listed NCDs through private placement and re-appointed statutory auditors for FY26 to FY30.
Strong topline and profit growth signals healthy asset performance and rising interest income from subsidiaries, supporting steady distributions for unitholders. However, the Rs. 179.3 crore impairment in NEPPL flags weakness in one project SPV, and the plan to raise fresh NCDs could push debt-equity higher from the current 0.87 level.
