National Highways Infra Trust (NHIT) has filed its quarterly and annual Statement of Deviation/Variation covering three fund raises: (1) Leap Project Institutional Placement (March 2024) of Rs. 6,181.25 Cr, fully utilized as on 31 March 2025; (2) Ascent Project Preferential Issue (March 2025) of Rs. 3,285.60 Cr, fully utilized; and (3) Ascent Project Institutional Placement (March 2025) of Rs. 5,053.48 Cr, of which Rs. 4,996.21 Cr has been deployed leaving a small balance of about Rs. 57.27 Cr pending utilization. Deviation from stated objects is reported as Nil across all three issues, with only minor category-wise variations between projected and actual usage. Funds were largely used for infusing debt/equity into project SPV entities (NEPPL and NSPPL), paying concession fees to the sponsor, debt service reserves, and general corporate purposes.
This is a routine regulatory disclosure confirming that NHIT has used its InvIT fund raises broadly as promised to investors, with no major deviations from stated purposes. Investors should note that nearly all the raised capital (over Rs. 14,400 Cr combined) has been deployed, indicating active acquisition activity, while the small unutilized portion (~Rs. 57 Cr) is unlikely to materially affect unit price or yield.
