National Plastic Industries has published a newspaper advertisement (in Business Standard English and Lakshadeep Marathi editions on 9 March 2026) to inform shareholders about a SEBI-mandated special window for transferring and dematerialising physical securities that were bought or sold before 1 April 2019. The special window is open for one year, from 5 February 2026 to 4 February 2027, as per SEBI Circular dated 30 January 2026. Shares transferred during this window will be credited only in demat form and will be under a one-year lock-in from the date of transfer registration. Shareholders can submit their requests along with required documents to the company or its Registrar MUFG Intime India Private Limited. Securities already transferred to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF) are not eligible under this facility.
Shareholders holding physical share certificates from transactions before April 2019 now have a one-year opportunity to convert them into demat form, after which the shares will be locked-in for a year. This is a routine regulatory compliance disclosure and is unlikely to materially impact the stock price, though it may help clean up old physical holdings and improve transparency.
