National Plastic Industries Ltd announced its Q1 FY26 (April–June 2025) standalone results approved by the Board on August 14, 2025. Revenue from operations fell to about Rs 21.97 crore from Rs 24.12 crore in the same quarter last year, a decline of roughly 9%. Despite the revenue drop, net profit rose sharply to Rs 85.50 lakh from Rs 60.64 lakh year-on-year, an increase of about 41%, helped by lower raw material costs (Rs 13.01 crore vs Rs 15.86 crore) and controlled other expenses. Basic EPS stood at Rs 0.94 vs Rs 0.66 earlier. The statutory auditor R.S. Prabhu & Associates issued a clean (unqualified) limited review report with no qualifications or emphasis of matter, and exceptional items were nil.
Margin expansion is a positive signal — the company earned more profit on lower sales — but the underlying revenue decline is a concern that investors should monitor. The EPS growth on a small base is encouraging, though sustained improvement will depend on whether top-line recovers.
