Natural Biocon (India) Ltd reported Q1 FY26 revenue from operations of Rs. 166.57 lakhs, up roughly 69% from Rs. 98.65 lakhs in the same quarter last year. The company posted a net profit of Rs. 13.86 lakhs versus Rs. 9.75 lakhs in Q1 FY25, marking about a 42% jump in absolute profit year-on-year. This is also a sharp swing from a Rs. 48.62 lakh loss in the preceding quarter (Q4 FY25). Basic EPS came in at Rs. 0.05, lower than Rs. 0.09 in Q1 FY25 because the equity share capital has more than doubled (from Rs. 1,137.28 lakhs to Rs. 2,578.28 lakhs), diluting per-share earnings despite higher profits. Total expenses rose about 72% — faster than the 69% revenue growth — pointing to mild margin compression. The statutory auditors issued a clean (unqualified) limited review report with no qualifications or emphasis-of-matter.
Strong top-line growth and a return to profitability are positive for the stock, but expense growth slightly outpacing revenue and a sharp equity expansion (diluting EPS) are points investors should watch closely.
