Auditor's draft email on subsidiary accounts sent to wrong recipient

On July 17, 2026, an articled assistant of statutory auditor Walker Chandiok accidentally emailed draft Q1 FY27 management accounts of Maamba Energy (a material subsidiary of Nava) to the wrong person due to a wrong email address being typed. Within 15 minutes, the email was recalled. The unintended recipient confirmed no access, no sharing, and permanent deletion. The data was draft and not final. Nava disclosed this out of caution. Audit Committee and Board were informed, and auditors were asked to conduct an internal inquiry.
