NAVA Limited reported its highest-ever quarterly profit in Q1 FY26, with consolidated revenue of Rs. 1,213 crore (up ~15% sequentially) and net profit of Rs. 490 crore (up ~61% QoQ), driven by strong energy operations and better ferroalloy realizations. Maamba Energy Limited (MEL) collected $75 million of arrears and declared a maiden dividend of $32.5 million; the remaining $85.5 million in arrears is expected to be collected by end of FY26. Growth projects are on track — the 300 MW MEL Phase II expansion (commissioning end of Q1 FY27) and 100 MW solar project (July 2026). Consolidated net cash stood at ~Rs. 1,400 crore (gross cash Rs. 2,400 crore). The $200 million integrated sugar project in Zambia will be spread over two financial years, with crushing expected by April 2028. Dividend policy of 25-30% of standalone profits is maintained, with the possibility of special dividends.
Strong quarterly performance, improving receivables, and a healthy net cash position are positive for shareholders. However, partial withdrawal of tax exemption in Zambia (effective FY26) and forex-related mining margin dip are near-term headwinds. Continued execution on growth projects and consistent dividend payouts support investor confidence.
