Navneet Education submitted its Q1FY26 investor presentation to the exchanges. Standalone revenue was nearly flat at Rs. 792 crore vs Rs. 794 crore a year ago, but EBITDA rose 1.8% to Rs. 230 crore with margins improving to 29.1% from 28.5%. The publications segment held steady at Rs. 419 crore, but domestic stationery fell about 14% to Rs. 116 crore due to lower paper prices and competition from unorganised players. Export stationery was a bright spot, growing roughly 7% to Rs. 256 crore. Management highlighted that the curriculum change cycle has begun, which should boost the publications business going forward, and noted that the proposed 25% US tariff decision is awaited by 27th August 2025, though no order cancellations have occurred yet.
Margins and exports are holding up well despite a soft domestic stationery quarter, which is a positive signal. However, near-term watchpoints include the outcome of US tariffs on exports and the pace of curriculum changes in higher grades, both of which could drive the next leg of growth or risk.
