NELCO Limited has been granted a Unified License - VSAT Virtual Network Operator (UL VSAT-VNO) authorization at the national level by the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications, Government of India. This is an additional authorization under NELCO's existing Unified License VNO agreement. The license is valid for 10 years (co-terminus with the existing Unified License). It allows NELCO to operate as a virtual network operator for VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) satellite services, enabling regional ISPs, system integrators and others to resell satellite-based VSAT services under their own brand without owning satellite infrastructure.
This is a positive regulatory development that expands NELCO's addressable market in satellite communications.
