NMDC Steel Limited, a Government of India enterprise, published its audited financial results for Q4 FY25 and full year FY25 in The Hitavada and Pioneer on 29 May 2025. Total revenue from operations for Q4 FY25 stood at Rs 2,838.25 crore, up roughly 54% year-on-year from Rs 1,845.73 crore in Q4 FY24. For the full year FY25, revenue rose sharply to Rs 8,503.05 crore from Rs 3,048.99 crore in FY24, largely because commercial production only began in August 2023. Despite the strong revenue growth, the company reported a net loss of Rs 473.39 crore in Q4 FY25 and a full-year net loss of Rs 2,373.78 crore, wider than the Rs 1,560.32 crore loss in FY24. The Q4 loss, however, narrowed sequentially from Rs 757.78 crore in Q3 FY25. Net worth stood at Rs 13,114.48 crore with negative basic and diluted EPS of Rs 8.10 for FY25.
The widening annual loss despite rising revenue shows the company is still in its early commercial ramp-up phase, which may keep the stock under pressure, but the sequential narrowing of losses in Q4 is a mild positive signal for shareholders.
