Nexome Capital Markets (formerly SMIFS Capital Markets) filed its Q2 FY26 and H1 FY26 integrated results on a standalone and consolidated basis, reviewed (not audited) by statutory auditor SK Agrawal & Co. Standalone total income for Q2 FY26 was Rs. 899.89 lakhs, up ~25% YoY from Rs. 721.25 lakhs, driven by a sharp jump in investment banking segment revenue to Rs. 788.71 lakhs (vs Rs. 38.48 lakhs). Standalone net profit after tax for Q2 was Rs. 133.43 lakhs (vs Rs. 25.80 lakhs) and H1 PAT was Rs. 261.38 lakhs (vs Rs. 62.69 lakhs). The auditor drew attention to an expected credit loss on a loan and a fair valuation loss on the investment portfolio. The company also incorporated a new wholly-owned subsidiary, Nexome Wealth Management Limited, on July 22, 2025, for wealth and advisory services.
Strong profit growth, mainly from a sharp rise in investment banking fees, is a positive signal for shareholders. However, the flagged expected credit loss on a loan and mark-to-market losses on the investment portfolio point to some asset-quality concerns that investors should monitor.
