NIIT Learning Systems shared its Q1 FY26 results with investors. Revenue grew 11% YoY to INR 4,514 Mn (up 5% QoQ), while EBITDA at INR 951 Mn fell 7% YoY but rose 11% QoQ. Operating margin stood at 21%, showing a sequential improvement of 112 bps, though down 408 bps year-on-year. PAT was INR 493 Mn (up 1% QoQ, down 18% YoY) with EPS of INR 3.62. The company completed the 100% acquisition of Germany's MST Group in July 2025, which added INR 63 Mn in exceptional expenses. NIIT added 2 new MTS contracts and 3 renewals, serving 95 customers with revenue visibility of $388 Mn. Net cash position strengthened to INR 7,704 Mn.
Sequential margin recovery and a healthy cash pile are positives, but the sharp YoY margin contraction and ongoing training-spend compression signal near-term pressure. The MST Group acquisition expands European presence but will weigh on costs in the coming quarters.
