Niva Bupa filed its earnings conference call presentation for Q4 and full year FY2026 ended March 31, 2026. The company reported GWP of ₹9,432.9 crore, up 27.4% YoY, with Retail Health GWP of ₹6,581.5 crore growing 35% YoY. Under IFRS reporting, PAT surged 80.4% to ₹366.1 crore from ₹202.9 crore in FY2025, driven by improved combined insurance service ratio (CISR) of 101.4% vs 103.0% in FY2025. Retail health market share expanded to 10.1% from 9.4% YoY. The company highlighted 92.8% renewal rate for retail health indemnity products and claims settlement ratio of 94.4%. The presentation also referenced the mandatory transition to Ind AS reporting effective April 1, 2026, which management views positively for transparency. IFRS PAT (₹366.1 crore) was significantly higher than I-GAAP PAT (₹130.8 crore) primarily due to IFRS-17 insurance contract adjustments of ₹368.2 crore.
Strong top-line growth, expanding margins (CISR improved 158 bps over FY24–26), and near-doubling of IFRS PAT signal improving operational leverage, which is positive for the stock. The Ind AS transition may create volatility in reported earnings going forward.
