NLC India published its audited Q4 and full-year FY26 financial results in Financial Express and Dinamani on 14 May 2026, complying with SEBI LODR Regulation 47. Standalone total income grew 5.6% YoY to ₹10,863.92 crore in FY26, while standalone net profit after tax surged 32.9% YoY to ₹2,525.07 crore, driven largely by rate-regulated activity income. EPS (after regulatory deferral adjustment) stood at ₹18.21 for FY26 versus ₹13.70 in FY25. Consolidated net profit after tax for FY26 was ₹1,481.45 crore (vs ₹3,756.11 crore in FY25), reflecting differences in regulatory deferral accounting at consolidated level. Debt capital increased to ₹10,157.36 crore from ₹7,524.97 crore YoY.
Strong standalone profit growth of ~33% YoY is positive for shareholders. However, the sharp decline in consolidated PAT and rising debt levels warrant attention. The large gap between standalone and consolidated PAT suggests significant regulatory deferral accounting impact.
