NOCIL Limited's Board has approved multiple director changes at its meeting on 7th May 2026. Two new Independent Directors have been appointed: Mr. Sanjiv Lal (former MD & CEO of Rallis India Ltd with 41 years of experience including Tata Group and HUL) and Mr. Sabyaschi Patnaik (30 years of experience in multinational chemical companies). Mr. Hrishikesh A. Mafatlal has been re-appointed as Executive Chairman for another 5-year term from 19th August 2026. Mr. Vilas R. Gupte's tenure as Independent Director concluded on 26th May 2026 as he chose not to seek re-appointment for a second term. All appointments are subject to shareholder approval at the 64th AGM.
The appointment of two experienced Independent Directors from the chemical industry strengthens board governance. The continuity of Executive Chairman maintains leadership stability. The departure of one Independent Director reduces the board composition but is being offset by new appointments.
