NTPC board approves raising up to Rs 12,000 cr via NCD issue

NTPC's board approved raising up to Rs 12,000 crore through non-convertible debentures via private placement in one or more domestic tranches. The filing also shared Q1 FY26 operational highlights: group installed capacity rose to 90,904 MW from 82,646 MW a year ago, with 1,796 MW added in the quarter. Coal-based plant load factor improved to 76.71 percent (vs all-India PLF of 70.32 percent), commercial generation rose to 93.63 billion units, and average tariff held steady at Rs 4.86 per unit.
