NTPC Green Energy Limited has announced the commercial operation of two solar capacities totalling about 288.9 MW through its wholly owned subsidiary NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, effective 00:00 hrs on 28 June 2025. The first is 142.2 MW (part of a 300 MW Khavda Solar Energy Project) under the 450 MW Hybrid Tranche V Project at Khavda, Bhuj, Gujarat. The second is 146.7 MW (part of a 1,255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project) under the CPSU Scheme Phase-II Tranche-III in Gujarat. Both projects are now generating power and earning revenue.
Positive for shareholders — nearly 289 MW of new solar capacity is now operational, which will start contributing to the company's power sales revenue and support its renewable energy capacity addition targets.
