NTPC Green Energy Limited announced that two step-down subsidiaries of its joint venture ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited have declared commercial operations effective 15.05.2026. Project Eleven Renewable Power Private Limited added 12.5 MW (taking its cumulative capacity to 100 MW out of planned 150 MW) and Project Sixteen Renewable Power Private Limited added 50 MW (taking its cumulative capacity to 200 MW out of planned 300 MW). Both solar projects are located in Rajasthan. With these additions, the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group's total installed capacity will increase from 10,453.90 MW to 10,516.40 MW.
The company continues to expand its renewable energy portfolio with incremental capacity additions, though the 62.5 MW increase represents a modest growth (~0.6%) in total capacity. This is a positive operational update showing execution of the green energy expansion plan.
