NTPC Limited has informed the stock exchanges that a group company of its subsidiary NTPC Green Energy Limited has declared the Commercial Operation Date (COD) for a 25 MW solar power capacity, effective from 3 September 2025. This marks the formal start of commercial generation from this portion of the project. While this is a positive operational milestone for NTPC Green's renewable portfolio, the 25 MW capacity is relatively small compared to NTPC Green's overall installed and under-development renewable capacity, which is in the multi-gigawatt range.
