NTPC has declared Commercial Operation Date (COD) for 193 MW out of the 245 MW capacity at Plot-3 of its Nokh Solar PV Project (total project: 3x245 MW) in Rajasthan, effective from 00:00 hrs on 09.06.2025. With this addition, NTPC's total installed and commercial capacity on a standalone basis rises to 59,606 MW, and on a group basis to 80,708 MW. The remaining 52 MW at Plot-3 is yet to be commissioned. This is part of NTPC's ongoing expansion of its renewable energy portfolio.
Positive for NTPC's long-term growth as it adds new green energy capacity and moves closer to its renewable energy targets. Incremental revenue contribution from this 193 MW solar capacity will begin from the COD date, supporting the company's earnings over time.
