NTPC has declared the commercial operation of the second and last part of 78 MW out of the total 245 MW capacity at Plot-1 of the NTPC Nokh Solar PV Project. With this, the entire 245 MW at Plot-1 is now fully commissioned. The overall Nokh Solar PV Project is a 3x245 MW (735 MW) solar facility being developed under the CPSU Scheme Phase II, Tranche III. This marks the completion of one of the three plots at the Nokh solar site, adding renewable energy capacity to NTPC's portfolio.
This incremental 78 MW of solar capacity strengthens NTPC's renewable energy portfolio and contributes to its clean energy expansion targets. While a small portion of NTPC's overall capacity, it supports long-term revenue from green energy and aligns with the company's diversification away from coal.
